Games freezes randomly on campaign map

Hi folks!

I can't play Stainless Steel cause it is randomly freezing the computer on campaign map. It's just complete random. Some times while thinking, doin nothin' or when clicking on a character. Right before the crash you can hear the sound repeating for five seconds or so.

The following was installed some days ago: (in this order)

Medieval 2: Total War
Medieval 2: Total War 1.2 (as required by Kingdoms Setup)
Medieval 2: Total War 1.3 (as required by Kingdoms Setup)
Medieval 2: Kingdoms
Medieval 2: Kingdoms 1.5
Broken Crescent
Stainless Steel Part 1 of 2
Stainless Steel Part 2 of 2
Stainless Steel Patch 6.1

I will reinstall

Stainless Steel Part 1 of 2
Stainless Steel Part 2 of 2
Stainless Steel Patch 6.1


Any other tips you could give me?

When you reinstall SS, do the installation twice. Sometimes the installer can miss some files.

I turned down some graphics (including shader to 1) and installed Patch 6.2 RC 4 and seems now it's gone.
