Just wondering, any good movies or series out there on 18th century France? (or in french)
Mostly all I can find is British stuff.

Well its not 18th century rather Napoleonic era but,
The Count of Monte Cristo is really good for France in that period- plus I mean the adventure that guy goes on just gets better and better.. such an awesome film.
Its set just as the Napoleonic era was coming to an end where Napoleon has run away from France- the main character gets caught up in a conspiracy and allbreaks loose. Basically gives you a tour of most of France in that period- think of it as the 19th Century version of Scarface

Horatio Hornblower (British TV series) is freaking amazing. It's about a naval officer for the British in the Napoleonic wars. It has some of the best naval action I've ever seen. (British, yes)
Master & Commander is good. But British.
Like the above, Count of Monte Cristo is a great movie, nothing like the book, but quite good. You can always watch the French version, closer to the book Le Comte de Monte Cristo, which is really good, and has Gerard Depardieu in it.
There is also a French movie called Napoleon, which was pretty good.
Can't think of any others for the moment.
Just go read some Alexandre Dumas or something.
Here's a big thread with a collection of 18th century movies and series:

And like the above I recommend the count of monte cristo and Waterloo.
