    Default Unifying Rome

Hey i was wondering if someone could give me detailed instructions as to how to combine the 4 roman factions into 1 with Rome as the only starting province, the other cities start as rebels

It is not really very difficult at all. Pick the faction you want to use as the Romans. Then remove every mention of the others Descr_Strat. Even delete their names from the Playable, Unlockable, and NonPlayable section at the top (otherwise you will get faction destroyed messages at the beginning of every campaign).

Give all of their cities to either the Roman faction you are keeping, the Rebels, or someone else. Then delete everything else in their sections of Descr_Strat (Generals, units, spies, diplomats, etc...)

At the top of the section of the faction you are keeping, removing any line starting with the word "superfaction".

    That is it.

Don't forget to remove any mention of them in descr_regions, otherwise you will get error messages.

Rather, that is change every mention of the removed factions to the one you are keeping.

No, there is no mention of them in descr_regions.

descr_regions is no matter in unifying Rome. I've done that in RU by deleting every faction references that i don't want in descr_strat and the campaign gone alright without errors (and the game seeks online-playable as we haven't changed other faction's cultures, etc.)

What about the descr_units ( I think it is called)? Would I need to remove all the other Romans names?

No, that shouldn't matter. (Of course, if I'm wrong you will need to. )

You can leave them in export_descr_unit.

wouldn't you also have to delete them from export_descr_unit?

If you leave them in Export_Descr_Unit they will still be available in Custom Battles is all. But the Campaign will be unaffected. You only need to clear them from the EDU if you want to re-use the leftover Roman faction slots for some other faction. Even then you can still leave them in, but you will see the old Roman units in Custom Battles as well as the new faction's units.
