Wow!

When I downloaded the MP3, I wasn't too sure about it, but seeing it in-game just changed my opinion completely.. Well done, Hollowfaith!

I finished a Swedish campaign a few weeks ago.. Guess I'll have to restart it again soon.. Looking forward to seeing / hearing that Dutch march eventually!

The mp3 was a very rough version. I had only been working on it for a couple of hours. The march in the video has another layer of fifes that was added, plus some reworking of the drums. The song still has a ways to go yet though! It should hopefully be finished by Wednesday or Friday at the latest.

I'm still fiddling with the drum sounds I made. They are definitely a step in the right direction now, I lowered the back ambient noise so it has a tighter feel to it. The fifes still need to be worked some more, as of now they have an 'echoey' sound to them that I'm not happy with.

This is a cool mod Hollowfaith. It's amazing how something so simple can make such a difference in playability. Looking forward to your stuff in the future (and when someone figures out the whole faction specific thing)

I made a mix pack with my favorites of Caligula's marching songs.
2x British Grenadier, 1x Hohenfriedberger and 1x American Yankee Doodle tracks.

For those who want several songs in each battle. It can sound a bit messy when units next to eachother play different songs at the same time, but I like the variety.

Quick note; Prussia's gloria Is played on fife and drum, by the Corps of Drums of the Massed Household Division every year at the Trooping of the Colour on Horse Guards parade.

Alrighty, well I'm having some issues with the march for Sweden which I just have to plow through to get finished. Its mainly writers block. LOL
I WILL have it finished by tomorrow evening for you folks. So hang tight till then!

PS. I write the marches on my own and I try not to use the real thing. I know the real stuff does, 99.9% of the time sound alot better than what I can write in my home studio. My first few releases are not original and are from various audio sources.

and other thing... surfing throught patch.pack i found that there are differents sounds for "charge" or "march" for the drummer, may have any chance of using the march songs in differents orders?

March pack for Sweden is now live.

I'm not overly happy with the way I wrote the drums of this one, though I probably will make a remix of this with a different cadence. This also has my new drum sound I developed, please let me know what you think. Constructive Criticism is always welcome.

@rsharpe - Yep, I write all of my own stuff. The only ones that are not my original work, besides editing them to make them loop-able and to correct a few things, were the Lilliburlero, British, French, and Generic packs. All the rest I did myself. Heh, I thought of releasing these as they were recorded originaly. For the game I have to convert and mix down the audio to mono as that is what the game engine uses, and also keeps the file size down. I'm glad you enjoy them mate!

@Alwar - Hey buddy! Glad you could make it over to the TWC! Yep, I've seen the different sounds to and have been experimenting. When I find a good combo I'll re-release all my packs with the upgraded versions! No problem mate, you are most certainly welcome!

I have no clue about making music so I'll just say I'd want a drum sound with a softer, fuller oomph. And a more fluid fife.

Yea, I was afraid of that. I forgot to replace those drums with my remade ones. I spent 14+ hours trying to get those drums to work with the march.
Well I'll go back and reinsert my newer drum sound, but it won't be till later tonight or tomorrow.
