Drum and Fife Mod by Hollowfaith aka Caligula

Well done, Hollowfaith! Hopefully in the weeks / months to come, people will discover a way to make the marches faction specific. Also, it'd be wonderful if some of the kakaphony could be turned down. Right now, it seems like you can hear every single soldier's footstep, making most large battles sound very unpleasant (a 'wall of sound' in most cases). Also, if there was some way to make the marches 'army specific' rather than 'regiment specific' that would be great. Right now, the moment two regiments start moving at different times, they play the tunes at different times, creating a very bad blend of the sound files..

I realize that people have already flooded you with requests, so feel free to ignore this, but here are some of my suggestions:

For Prussia, 'Preussens Gloria' (it's a bit a-historical, but it's an awesome march):


For the United Provinces, 'Marsch van de Heer van der Duyn':


For France (pre-revolution), 'Jolie Tambour':


For the United States, 'Yankee Doodle' (one of the best versions on YouTube, too bad about all the people shouting through it):

Unfortunately both 'Preussens Gloria' and 'Marsch van de Heer van der Duyn' aren't available anywhere in a fife and drum version, so I'm not sure how useful they are.

Lastly, would you consider uploading your files to Filefront.com? There's no need for typing those letter-number combinations, nor a waiting period to download.. Thanks in advance! I also posted this message at the official TW forums, so don't worry if you're feeling a sense of deja-vu..

Because they are apparently parade marches. Would't fit the battlefield too well, methinks.

@Achillon - Soon, I'm due for surgery on thursday so there will be no updates for about a week. I'm currently working on a march for Sweden. I'll definately do russia after Sweden!

Superb work on the Marching Themes Hollowfaith.

Wonder what happens if each one of those themes (emp_cus_snare_march_01_v1.00_gme.wav, emp_cus_snare_march_02_v1.00_gme.wav, emp_cus_snare_march_03_v1.00_gme.wav and emp_cus_snare_march_04_v1.00_gme.wav) included is different.

Will they play a random one chosen from these 4?

that Vid was awesome thanks for posting. the whole time I was watching it I just kept thinking how hard it must have been to play like that while having musket balls flying over your head and at times through you.

Would you mind to include Prussens Gloria? It's one of the great Prussian March. You could also add:

-Badenweiler March
-Prinz Eugen March
-Grenadier Guards March
-Koniggratz March

I'll be away from the mod for a few weeks as I'm going to be traveling with my brothers band as a stand in for his keyboardist, who somehow shot himself in the foot and can't stand for great lengths LOL! Just giving the heads up and to tell everyone not to worry, the mod is still alive and well.

@ ONI NavSpecWar: I too would love to see the Minstrel boy done, although I wouldn't want pipes, I would like to see it done with fife and drum more then anything. That way It could also be used for any Civil War mods made in the future.
