    Icon9 My observations thus far

Dragoons unable to move on battle map after remounting. 2 times so far, playing France, broken scrubby ground in culvert.

While playing Russia, Multiple 2/3 to full stack armys spawned by AI in single underdeveloped Caucus regions of Georgia and Kazackstan repeatedly. Took until 1730s to suppress the area then Turkey with like 8 or 9 regions puts up NO resistance to my Caucus invasion.

6 prussian Rocket Ketches take out 6 Brittish SOL from 2nd to 4th rate. Opening salvo made a critical hit on Brittish Flagship and it exploded in first wave of rocket fire. These seem way over powered if you control them ureself, happened several times then I tried letting the AI calculate the outcome and they were pulverized so seems usless if you let the AI roll the dice.

Troops hiding in building stop firing at enemy in range after 2 or 3 rounds even with half or better ammo bar. Enemy troops would not assault building, way outnumbered and outgunned, I still won the battle by speeding up the clock and letting time run out while they sat there idle in a big X.

Path finding in general seems very wonkey. Cavelry moves in opposite direction to my orders even in wide open areas, sometimes runs in place. Infantry will do same thing some times when more then 4 units selected and when single clicking on fleeing enemy the movment lines go in diffent directions for each unit. Had to select individually and re issue orders.

Random bug(?) in sieging Native settlements in North America. After sally by defenders in which I got decisive victory result, the AI raised my siege and replaced the dead defenders with a full stack. 2 time so far in RTI.

Line infantry seems more efficient with early starting tech then it does after researching fire by rank and platoon fire. Rates of fire and over all firepower seemed better for my earlier line then my beefed up high tech line.

Dosent make sence that even with an unbroken un interdicted supply line, that my infantry would have such limited ammo with no way to replenish but my artillary has unlimited ammo even tho logisticlly they were historically more difficult to keep supplied.

Too many darned fences! Battle Maps are way fence spammed.

:hmmm:Electric slide by units on battlefield. Random but about 30% of the time, especially for horses. Looks like someone gave them a big push on an ice ring.

:hmmm:Line formation seems better defence on cavelry as I'm able to shoot down full troops before they reached my line, but they mow right over my square formations and hold in the middle of my square where my muskets arnt pointing.

:hmmm:And probably a few more I dont remember.

But it is a great game, is it not. I have a blast playing it so far even though it has a few, quirks.

I agree on the fences though. Some maps are like fence galore. Hard to manouver anything in there.

Its a great start and I'm frustrated but not giving up on it yet. Hoping for more patches or mod fixes.

Some places DO have lots of fences!
