    Default CTD when hitting the recruitment icon

    Little introduction:

    I am working on a new project, which is mod_foldered and based on Europa 270 Map by Webbird.

    For the moment, there are no recruitable units in EDB, except for spies, diplomats and assassins.

    Hitting the recruitment icon produces a CTD in some Italian settlements, but not in all of them.:hmmm:

    Of course, I have thought of some problem with hidden resources in the bugged regions but, as you can see here,

    Picenum works:

    How many units are available in the buggy regions? have you used recruitment lines with building conditions?

    I second that question. How are the available units recruited? Could you post the romans_julii code?

    The number-of-recruitable-units error is what I thought too, but then I read this:

    Are there any family members in the cities affected?

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    The above may be the culprit, if you've played with the traits/ancillaries you may be missing a text entry (or it may be misspelt).

    Thanks for the help so far. One of the strangest issues that I have met in this game...

    By the way, I forgot to mention that right clicking on the recruitment buildings (barracks, stables or archery) works correctly. This is what made me think more of a problem with the map than something related to EDB, at first.

    If you empty the settlement first, does it still CTD?

    Aradan, I think that you have hit the target! The only settlements that crash are the ones where the faction leader and heir are present. If I move them outside the settlement there is no more problem, but the game still crashes if I right click on the leader or heir portrait.

    What might be the cause? They have no traits at all...Perhaps the "leader" and "heir" tags? Do they interact with the traits files?

    The leader and heir both get traits (the leader and heir traits respectively) and if those have been played with . . . well see my previous post.

    Well, the only thing that I did was to replace the Vanilla trait files with Marcus Camillus'. I guess that something got messed up in the process. Thanks to all who have cooperated in the process. You have just saved the First Man in Rome project.

    Grab my trait/ancillary validator it, it's in the tutorial section, will tell you what the problems with the trait files are, it could be something as simple as you not having replaced the export_VnVs.txt file with the rest of the trait files.

    Do you have any triggers anywhere that check for GovernorUnitTrained or UnitTrained events?

    Not that I know of, but since it only happens when you have a governor in place, it would seem to reason that it might be related.
