Default Diplomacy Bug or just part of the game?

Ok I installed the patches 1-3 and i wanted to know if this is some kind of glitch or bug. Sometimes diplomats and princess come to my cities/castles and they bow down as to start the diplomacy sequence. But then nothing happend. This has happend many times, but I dont know if it is common or maybe some kind of an issue? Since what would be the point of they coming to my cities/castles/troops?
Any advice or suggestions would really help?
I am a noob, so please any help would be apreciated.
    Thank you.

That is when they become spies for their respective factions. They will even try to bribe whoever you left in charge. Princesses have been known to offer marriage to get your leader of that settlement to defect.

Thank you for your reply, So let me get this straight, even thou they come and bow down, they are looking to bribe anybody in this city? Is there a way to offer your princess in marriage to another faction, or are they just usefull to steal another factions nobleman, since I remember in the old MTW you could do that?

    Thanks IRISHRON.

PS. WILL THE PRINCESSES STILL BOWN DOWN, EVEN THOU THERE AREN"T ANY UNMARRIED NOBLEMEN, SINCE I DONT THINK PRINCESSES CAN BRIBE, AND THEY HAVE BOWN DOWN,EVEN THOU THERE AREN'T ANY NOBLEMAN IN THE SETTLEMENT?

If you have a foreign pricess on your land, whether chasing one of your noblemen or not, she is still a spy. I have had generals change sides marrying a princess. It can get frustrating say fighting the French and watch one of your generals become French and all you saw for a turn or two was this pincess hanging around.

But can princess bribe? since sometimes they hang around cities where there arent any available men to marry? Why those the AI do this?

The only way they can bribe is to steal your general to her faction. Why is the AI programmed this way? I been done since Biblical times and probably before. All's fair in love and war and this is war.
