Default The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Thought it's time for a topic for this upcoming game by Starbreeze and Tigon.
Unfortunately there's no demo for PC, but for PS3 and Xbox there exists one.
The game itself is to be released in late April.

The game is being developed by Starbreeze Studios and will be published by Atari. According to Ian Stevens, Head of Production at Tigon, the decision to do a remake was because Microsoft could not make the Xbox 360 backward compatible with Escape from Butcher Bay, and because they wanted to get the Escape story to a larger audience before progressing further.
In October last year announced a proud Atari that they took over the license from Vivendi and finally what is similar to a premiere date discerned. A couple of minor delays later, the title ready for the store in late April.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena contains a remastered version of Butcher Bay (with updated graphics and sound and some tweaks to previous gameplay issues) as well as an all new adventure for Riddick. Oh, and multiplayer. When you first boot up Riddick, you're given the choice to start Butcher Bay or jump right into Assault on Dark Athena.
The extra development time that was given after Activision dropped them, went to make a new campaign as well.

I've been looking forward to this game for a few years now, glad to see it is finally going to get released after all. EFBB was such an awesome game...it was sleek, exciting, and extremely well made and I think it didn't get a lot of the attention that it deserved...hopefully, people will pay attention to the series upon this games release.

Unfortunately people seem to associate the game's quality with the movies' quality - which are more of an acquired taste we'll say. But hopefully many people will take a chance and play it.

Also, I hope people pay more attention to Starbreeze...they're such an awesome developer...all their games are top notch when it comes to originality, gameplay, and story (Escape from Butcher Bay and The Darkness).

Hey, I was waiting for your input.
It was indeed a great game, it stood out with the camera and all that.

    Have nothing against Pitch Black.
But there is this thing, games based on movies are generally awful.
    EFBB was the exception.

A shame The Darkness that it was console exclusive.

I didn't play the original, but I'm really, really looking foward to this.

Also, if it succeeds, that means more money towards Diesel's Punic Wars MMO

Considering an overhauled version of the original is part of this release, he won't have to.

Yeah read one review stating that it was 2 good games rolled into one so it's pretty much a "must buy".
Played EFBB and it was really good game with some very nice stealth moments.
gonna buy this without a doubt.

I wonder how much they've changed, tweeked, or added to the Butcher Bay portion of the game...

Anyone know beyond the upgraded graphics and fixed bugs etc what exactly they may have done to EFBB?

I hate what they did to the Melee controls, it's way to basic now.
