GAME CRASHES HELP !!!!

I have a high end machine 3.3ghz dual core 4Gb memory 500Mb video card nvidia vista 64bit.

In the game I have about 30 armies because I want to take over poland, but the game crashes all the time on my pc with every move I make.
So after each move that don't crash i try to save the game, but this becomes a huge list of savegames. (where can I change the autosave setting anyway ?)

Will there be a FIX patch for this game, I like the game a lot but NOT the studpid crashes to desktop and the LAG when you have a huge empire and many units.

to be honest: this game is not a finished product and I think I payed way too much money for this many bugs.(my eyes are flickering from the bad video performance of this game)

I can not continue my huge campaign because the game crashes at a certain point where I take over a city.

I tried 5 times to restart the game and repeat my move and 5 crashes !!!!

im having this problem too, but we will have to wait for a new patch or fix

just tried with grapics on LOW but this CTD bug keep coming back

it seems the game developers think we are idiots to buy this untested game.

we should get a REFUND of at least 30euros....

"500MB videocard" doesn't really tell us much at all. The name of the actual GPU might help a bit more than just its VRAM.

Oh and just because it has bugs (as does every PC game on launch), doesn't mean it wasn't tested.

Well I tried to continue and avoid clicking on the BUG SHIPYARD and the BUG CAPTURE CITY

Now i have a new bug: Clicking END TURN results in Crash to desktop

Result: GAME CAN NOT CONTINUE AT ALL !!!!!!!!

i think its not so strange that a 75MB save file gets corrupt...idiot file size

What's wrong with the file size? ETW seems to do a serialized dump of certain variables and game state items. It's alot of data but I believe its necessary. That said, these files can be compressed down 7 times their normal size quite easily.

I am also having the CTD bug when declaring war on Russia or trying to take a town (I am playing as sweden and the year is 1779).

Also system stats are as follows:
Q6600, nVidia 8800 gts (680 meg), 4Gigs ram and XP Prof 32Bit

My game crashes as well i have lost two Grand Campaign due to this.

American Revolution[140 turns]
and
Sweden[50 turns]

I end my turn and the game crashes.
also I lost a huge awesome fleet as well. when i click on it game crashes.

am about jacked off with this.the game sticks and crashs often,my machine is'nt exactly basic but its struggling.am running a

Dell XPS 630i
4gb ram
640 mem
2 quad cpuQ6600@2.40ghz
vista 32
2x8800GT

sli is enabled and nothing in nvidia is set on high its all med-low which defeats the object a bit.updated drivers and had to roll em back as game wouldnt run at all.so am either doing something seriously wrong or waiting for patch,thick or all 3.any ideas folks

i tried everything i can think of as a simple computer user:
running the game in compat. with xp sp2 (game crash)
low video settings (game crash)

ok heres what I did to fix my crash issues.

1. even tho I did not have memory issues. go ahead and apply the workaround posted in the stickys.

2. install Nvidia driver 181.22

After I did this I have had no CDT's for 3 days now

option 1 doesn't fix my saved game bugs so it doesn't work
