    Default Installation Problems

Downloaded and unzipped the For King or Country 1.5 mod. However I can't find the the for_king_or_country_ver_1.exe file:

    Installation Instructions
    1) Open up the for_king_or_country_ver_1.exe file.
    2) Select your main M2TW directory. (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War)
    3) Click install
    4) After installation there will be a new For King or Country shortcut in your M2TW folder. Double Click it. Enjoy.

Should it be in the FKoC folder or do I have to download something else. :hmmm:Cheers

    The shortcut is actually here:

    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\for_king_or_country

Double click in the usual manner to run the mod

I didn't unzip the FKoC file into the Medieval 2 Total War. I unzipped it to the desktop, will this affect the problem?

Man, drop the extracted folder into the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\ if you have vanilla, or use a special pack for Kingdoms if you have them instead. Than search for the .bat file IN the extracted folder to be particular: "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\for_king_or_country\" for vanilla OR "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\for_king_or_country\" for Kingdoms via installation of special pack FOR Kingdoms only.

Is this the file? (Highlighted one)/ Whenever I click on it it brings up the "cmd" window (small black one) but then it disappears after a second. Any ideas???

I unzipped the FKoC file into the M2TW file, but it came up with hundreds of files and it said that they could not be created. I installed Broken Crescent fine, so whats playing up with this.

i can only advice you to read once again installation instructions. i installed fkoc without problem, so you must do something wrong.

Looking onto your screenshot it seems you've never have actual installation pack. Looks like a patch only. What size does this file have? Make sure you take it from here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=206670

Yeah, I downloaded it from the link at the top of that page. (The FileFront link). It said it was 1.5 but it said that I didn't need the original to play the mod. The unzipped mod folder is 189 MB.
