Lisa Hannigan - New Talent

If you have heard of her you will know what I am talking about. She was backing up vocals for Damien Rice for years, then was kicked. Now she has gone solo and her album is picking up pace in America and Europe. Have a listen and tell me what you think of her stuff please.

I'm not keen on it sorry. But why don't promote others rather than just artists like her. No offence meant.

It's quite pleasant to listen to, but ultimately forgettable. If you like her, you'll like The Weepies or Laura Marling.

" just artists like her" " others" ? I 2 support many more artists that njust her. You seem to have an unhealthy obsession for New Order( whom i happen to like).

I like this folk music. I like rock, in many forms, not just one branch. I like blues, I like jazz. I even like various typpes of classical. I like to be open minded to other musical genres than those I am exposed to more often like pop and such.

Unhealthy obsession? What are you on about I just happen to really like the music besides I don't listen to them all the time. Everybody says and I'm sick of it really. I just like them its the same with others on the website. If I was truly obsessed I would try to them emails all the time and worship them. I don't do those things.

Well I am pretty obsessed with Bloc Party and Damien Rice but I don't try to send them e-mails despite daien living about a mile or two away from me.

I don't send them messages I'd rather just leave them alone.

I find her extremely dull myself.

Yeah it is dull thats what put me off it plus I don't like the style or the vocals.

That one song with Damien Rice, 9 Crimes, I like it a lot because it's so haunting.
