    Default Changing faction leader battle models

    how do I assign a different battle model for the faction leader? I did the strat map, but how do i change the battle map?

    Code:
    faction            knights_templar
    dictionary        2
    strat_model        teutonic_general
    strat_model        teutonic_general                    ; heir
    strat_model        aztec_general                    ; leader
    battle_model    Fancy_Captain
    battle_equip    gladius, chainmail shirt helmet and rectangular shield
    this is SS 6.1 any help would be greatly appriciated.

    There are two ways. The first is in the descr_strat.

    Change this:
    Code:
    character	Hugues de_Payns, named character, male, leader, age 36, x 336, y 97
    To this:
    Code:
    character	Hugues de_Payns, named character, male, leader, age 36, battle_model Aztec_General,x 336, y 97
    Aztec_General is an example, it needs to be a valid model entry in the battle_models.modeldb to work.

    The second option is using script. The DocuDemon command:
    Code:
    Identifier:         change_battle_model
    Parameters:         guild
    Description:        Changes the faction's leader/heir's battle model.
    Sample use:         change_battle_model england leader [model]
    Class:              CHANGE_BATTLE_MODEL
    Implemented:        Yes
    Author:             Mark
    This will need to be done in campaign_script.txt in a monitor, the parameters are pretty self-explanatory. I've been told this is Kingdoms-only, wouldn't know since I don't mod base M2, but SS is based on Kingdoms to my knowledge anyways.

    The second option is the best, since the first will only apply to the first faction leader, and not subsequent ones.

    No, the DocuDemon explains the command, it isn't supposed to be copied, all of that is just information, only one part is the command. Like this:

    The model should be using whatever skin is defined in the bmdb for that faction. If you aren't familiar with the bmdb, this might be over your head for what it's worth, as that file gives everyone trouble.

    monitor_event BecomesFactionHeir FactionType sicily
    change_battle_model sicily leader fancy_general
    end_monitor
    Can I exact the same change to faction heirs by changing "leader" to "heir"? e.g.,

    monitor_event BecomesFactionHeir FactionType sicily
    change_battle_model sicily heir fancy_general
    end_monitor

    Is it possible to change other character, like general or family member? I use my BIG Family
    and i want see the same skin from stratmap on battlemap. can we to combine the script with a trait from a general?

    AFAIK it's only possible to have individual battle models for the leader and heir.

    I don't see why. The script I uses changes a character's battle model upon his promotion to FactionHeir or FactionLeader. What would be the difference if the script did not check for BecomesFactionHeir, but CharacterTurnEnd with a certain trait...

    can you make an example, please! How can test the trait? i think "condition trait (what ever)" is not possible?!

    I doubt that "general" is a sufficient identifier -if it is one at all- to select the character you want to select.

    No because you dont have leader, heirs or even generals in custom battles.

    You can have as many different battle and strat models as you wish to with the appropriate traits and conditions assigned to the character. That's how I did it in my mod. I didn't want to go too far, but I did want to distinguish from the leader, heir, a member of the royal family, general, and captain.

    on strat map more models is no problem i know, but on battle map i have only found 3 possibilities, the leader, heir and for the general. how can i bring a next diffrent model for my family member (has a "bloodlinie" trait) to battlemap? for example: my leader, heir, family member and a general fight as the same battle - i want see 4 different models! is that possible?

    I don't know if this will help you at all, but I know that the in-script name for the general character type is "named_character" - "general" in the scripts means a captain.

    thx mythic , but i know. i used every possibility - captain, general, named_character, named character, only heir and leader worked fine. i must find a other alternative, thats not the end
