Default The status of non-Muslims in a Caliphate

    http://www.caliphate.co.uk/files/non..._Caliphate.pdf

Found this while surfing, it's an interesting, brief explanation of non-Muslims in a Caliphate. Personally, if this ideology might become used in a state; I think it will hardly keep on its own promises stated in the text.

, anyway I don't think a Caliphate is viable right now anyway, judging by how unstable the Rashidun,Ummayads and Abbasids turned out to be.

The Caliphate’s currency is based on the Gold Standard providing economic stability for domestic and international trade, as well as low
    inflation
If i discover like 100,000 tons of gold in my back yard, the money is going to be worth less, anyways even if i don't there is limited amount of gold in the world, eventually the money would be deflate (opposite of inflation)

Also there is a difference between working socialism and existing socialism, that is working socialism doesn't exist and existing socialism doesn't work
There is no way this system would work on low taxes, if want something you have to pay for it, (unless government operates in deficit) Either you pay high taxes or pay low insurance premiums for health care

Is this from Hizb-ut-Tahir? They have a thing about the gold standard...

All that is very nice, but doesn't take modern Wahabbism or enforcement of the twisted Islamist version of Shariah into account.

I would be among the resistance if such a Caliphate were established in Ireland...

Don't get ahead of yourself. How on earth would a Caliphate be established in Ireland? There aren't enough Muslims, who've come straight from the 9th century Spain in a TARDIS, in Ireland to rub two together.

So this model will never be implemented. Anywhere.

Then what is the point of this conversation in this forum?
Shouldn't this thread be in the history section?

    We are talking hypotheticals.
I am not implying that such a situation is likely in the foreseeable future.

Even hypothetically, that's a hell of stretch, no? I think the Irish have had enough of being a 'protected' religious minority under a dictator theocratic monarch.

A stretch it is, but a hypothetical nonetheless.
