    Default Army Movement

    Hello all,

    This is my first post on this forum, and I wanted to start by thanking those responsible for this excellent mod.

    My question/comment is this - Why don't we have armies move further when there are fully upgraded road systems? With each turn representing six months, I think armies should be able to move twice as far, or more. At the moment it seems similar to Vanilla. "Watch out bad guys, I'm gonna tan you hides, when I get to you country in, oh, five years....." Are movement distances hard coded?

    I'm glad you like the mod Achilles. Movement distances are not hard coded. In XGM movement points are 50% higher than vanilla though the larger map probably makes it feel like less .

    It's easy enough to increase that - just open [RTW]/xgm/data/descr_character.txt and change the number on the 'starting_action_points' line near the top of the file. Some people have reported that higher values cause path-finding problems.

    Very useful this one

    Question: increasing the "road bonus" will also make better movement?

    I tougth that i could increase that for reflect that certain "horse people" factions (armenia, scythia) usually get their infantry moved mounted, so they can made a better useo f roads

    Answer, yes, to '2'. After that, higher road bonus increases only trade.

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    Scythian and Parthian family members get extra movement via traits, and there are some other movement traits that family members from any faction can pick up.
