I do not understand the attraction to people using some common phrases such as a new world order or a global new deal. Politicians are always reminding constituents of the new way of doing things when the old way is all screwed up. This does not mean some silly world conspiracy to take over the planet. Lou Dobbs is a media savy guy that just pulled your strings for ratings and you fell for it "like an egg from a tall chicken".

New world order conspiracy theories come from the right place: distrust of power and the observation that the interests of the powerful are opposed to those of the majority. None the less, the absurdity of the NWO theories, and the racism, nationalism, sexism, homophobia, antisemitism, etc., etc. often assosiated with NWO believers discredits the movement totaly.

No governemnt is not the same as no laws, no money and even no power games. Its just a much more complex, and hopefully democratic, way of carrying on the self same things. All the important Libertarian Socialist (a descriptive term for left anarchism) theorists have thought that that law and units of exchange are necessary and that power is a fundemental unit of analysis in all human societies.

Utopia is unatainable, so it isn't possible for it to be better or worse than anything, except in as much as it can be asesed as an ideal.
