yes a freeze here a ctd there, but i still play becasue it is sweet.
I cant even play.
What bugs? i hope they aren't ants i hate those things
Oh no the picture of my dog disappeared!
no bugs or CTD but poor performance.
Never had any bugs and only ever crashed once.. but to be fair I did play the game for 12.4 hours non-stop![]()
Voted "no". Never crashed, just seems to be some nasty memory leaks in the game, making it sluggish before long.
Yeah, there's that issue with navies, where it takes a while once you click on them. The issue seems to get worse and worse...not sure if the patch fixed it though. Total war games have always taken a while to cycle through turns, but this one (specially during the 4th episode on RTI) seems to be worse than MTW2 ever was.
I haven't had a lot of hard crashes (maybe one per 10-15 hours played?) although I have had several issues with steam already. The worst being when it prompted several errors regarding the game files being corrupt. I re-installed, did all the checks, etc. Eventually I found out that it had nothing to do with the game files, and steam screwed itself up during a patch instead....there's three hours of my life i won't get back.
I understand bugs happen, and I love the folks down at CA for producing such a wonderful game. The memory leaks and game errors are part of the process - its to be expected. Concerning steam though...I'm a long time player of MMOs. I have had more issues with a single un-needed program in a week (with one very minor update) than all of the patching programs between wow, warhammer, and conan over the past 4 years combined - totaling at least a hundred gigabytes. Steam is the worst updating tool I have ever used. I can understand if you downloaded your copy, but there simply isn't a need for steam in a boxed version. Yeah yeah, multiplayer, copy protections, etc - but my retail version shouldn't be held hostage for hours because of the horrendous code of an un-needed program. I've dl'd quite a few games before. All of the programs used to download/update the games in the past have always worked flawlessly. It isn't the concept - it's just steam.
Oh, and concerning the memory leaks on the GTX series i hear you...i run a 280 and just got my first "error" tonight, but i have a feeling its been affecting performance steadily.
Same as gingerbell, No bugs or CTD's anymore, just bad performance, mainly lag on the campaign map
A few minor glitches/bugs, the occasional freeze (which seems to have been more a problem with Crossfire than ETW), but nothing game-breaking.
Can't speak to performance though. My rig is sufficiently powerful that it could just be brute-forcing the game into performing well. Haven't noticed the memory leak that some have experienced (as far as I know).
I haven't played with the patch yet, however. Don't have time until Friday (damned mid-terms).

No Bugs which are overtly noticable (one CTD and one Graphics issue, but those are normal).
My issue with playing the game is that the Inuits have the same unit roster as the pueblos...
The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days...

This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.
No bugs or freezes - (knock on wood) - My computer handles this game well - except once when the sound went away in the middle of a large double full stack battle. No CTD's either. I have a good computer with a cheap quad core and an above average GPU. Europa-Barborum Rome total war mod slows down the game a lot more than does ETW. I think that it is using multiple cores as well based on my system's performance...
That is caused by some odd glitch with the advisor (useless) just click the cross button and the sound will come back. its like its muting the soundfor thre advisor to speak but he doesnt. Useles advistor anyways its all rehashed from rtw/m2tw wiht very little tht isnt compley obvious.

I've got a few crashes, mainly on the campaign map. The battles run fine, but the campaign map is a little laggy.
I've had two ctds so far, not bad at all. But I can't vote no so...

I consider units AI on the battlefield to be somewhat buggy.
I dont particularly mean enemy AI - friendly unit responsiveness and behaviour is often not what you'd expect. ranged attack orders are sometimes ignored, movement and unit facing can be fiddly and difficult to make minor changes to without causing the entire unit to shift much more than intended.
I just want them to be smarter. If theres an enemy unit behind you, turn on the spot and fire at it, then turn back when theyre out of range - dont wait for me to tell you, and dont take forever to rotate.
I dont know if i clasify it as a bug or a fundamental gameplay problem, but thats my general thought and only major complaint.
looks like 38/46 people are able to play and only one is not satisfied... pretty good boys.

since the last patch, no. can run everything maxed out no probs. i used to crash and it gave me an error saying that there was no memory left or something, that mustve been fixed by that last patch. there aren't really many bugs that bug me, but there is one bug i guess: no AI naval invasions!
Crashed as GB when Huron declared war.
Crashed as UP, when pirates invaded port (no longer have this save).
As, I think GB, it crashes on Sweden's turn.
But I still love it![]()
