Default The priorities of the next patch.

OK, CA have announced a third patch due for next week. Now we all know there are ALOT of problems in Empire that need addressing, but giving that CA are releasing patches on such a regular basis its highly unlikely we will see all of them fixed within the next one, two or even three+ patches. Therefore, I have proposed this poll so CA can perhaps get a better feeling of what bugs the communities think have priority to be fixed.

I have omitted CTD's/memory leaks from the poll as they are obviously the highest priority, and CA know this already. If there are any other serious bugs that many others are experiencing, leave a reply please.

Mods, if you think this post should be moved or merged then feel free.

EDIT- If anyone feels there is a specific problem that should be fixed first that isn't in the poll, please leave a reply explaining what it is and why it should have priority. I will go through this thread soon, counting how many votes this particular problem has got and add it to this post.

For me, optimizations, including rendering performance and faster turns.

I often struggle to get artillery to properly limber/unlimber and often the horses will stand right at the end of the barrel and get killed. So artillery bug fixes would be most useful for me because at the moment they take so much micromanagement.

I had this problem at first as well. It seems to be remedied by disabling fire at will. When you limber and unlimber make sure the horses are out of the way before you turn on fire at will again. Clicking the button to limber multiple times seems to mess up the process too.

I say performance on campaign map, too.....I hate it when those little movies go in single frames....I mean, come on, the damn thing wants me to put everything on Very High if I go on Autodetect....

If I could vote I would definetely chosed the campaign map lags. It become nearly unplayable after the 1750 when tey are so much upgraded buildings and a lot of armies on the map.

So for me - that's kinda top prioriry and no its not a for.lang problem, I'm an english user!

Other than that its gotta be Ship AI - because right not it isn't empire total war - its Gimped: Total War.

    Passive AI.
Though I have seen Swedish AI walk 1000 miles in one turn to block raid my port.

Your list is very incomplete. I chose artillary as that is what bothers me most from your list. What I'd like to see them fix more than anything are the buggy siege battles. The AI is horrible at defending and attacking when it come to sieges.

I am one of the lucky ones who haven't had any CTD issues. It seems there are still a lot of memory leaks to deal with as well. I'd rather see CA fix bugs CTD's and memory leaks in their patches and let the modders improve on the AI.

Yep i knew there was some problems with siege AI but i felt that should go under 'passive battle AI' as they just sit there and do nothing.

As I mentioned, I omitted CTD's and memory leaks as they are the obvious priority.

Naval transport of troops (I won't say invasion)...

I think this is in a large part hampering the Campaign AI and would like to see this resolved first to see what effect it had.

My second choice would be the Battle AI, in particular on Hard difficulty...

Naval transport in conjunction with the passiveness of the AI. I want the AI to actually *attack* me, not just declare war and state at me Dramatic Chipmunk style for 50 turns.

I would like the rank/platoon fire to be fixed so that we don't have to wait for the last guy to reload before you can fire again. An option to fire instantly, not fire at will. Finally the ability for elite units to switch between platoon and rank fire as needed.

Naval Transport for me, it kills Britain or the Marathas, and I haven't had any other bugs other than a couple ctd's.

Never had an issue with passive AI at all on campaign or battle. (VH/VH)

The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days...

This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

A couple of things need to be sorted for me.
Lag on map yes... Problem with game crashing during high unit battles...

I have a high spec pc, 4GB Ram, 1.5TB memory, and it still struggles with this game...

Passive Ai my only real big complaint. Makes the game a boring snoozefest.
