    Default New Faction added - CTD when AI controlled

    Hi there,

    I've been working on a personal mod from the Britannia campaign on and off for an extended period of time now and have been happy enough with my limited progress so far; adding multiple new regions, family tree amendments, text additions and recently the addition of a new faction - The O'Neill.

    Basically, this faction has been created as a carbon copy of the Ireland faction in Kingdoms - Britannia and when I am in control of the faction I can play away to my hearts content, all aspects of the game appear fine.

    I've recently been editing the existing Ireland faction however to show as the Kingdom of Munster and again, this has apparently been going fine and no immediate problems occurred.

    However, I've recently been having numerous CTD's when interacting at specific times on the campaign map with the new "The O'Neill" faction.

    This occurs when I attempt to fight any of their armies that are led by a captain or a character. I'll engage them then CTD. I siege a castle and when the time comes to fight - CTD again.

    Initially I had thought this related to the captain portraits not showing up (had been the pink squares), but I've added in captain_card.tga and captain_portrait.tga files inside captain banners for the faction and that appears to have resolved the portrait issue.
    I can interact with any O'Neill army using diplomacy/agents with no problems.
    Can happen anywhere between turn 1 & 90...
    Doesn't appear to affect AI v AI strat map battles.
    Occurs when I control any other faction and attempt to enter combat with The O'Neill (not just when I am K. of Munster)

    I've created the faction using the tutorials on the forum here, namely by DukeOfSerbia and the more recent update by gigantus (thanks to both) and have also browsed extensively for CTD causes and fixes including the CTD thread but can find nothing that helps me out.

    Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?

    from your log it could seem that it has to do with this Trigger <0404_Army_Family_Trigger>, simply because that was the last thing that fired.

    it could also be due to missing entries in expanded.txt.
    when engaging the O`neill, does it ctd when loading the battle map or before you get the options to either command, auto resolve or retreat?
    if it does ctd before you are presented with these options it could be a problem with this sort of entries in expanded:

    thanks for the reply absinthia...

    Yeah, the CTD comes before I get the options to command, auto-resolve or retreat and now that you mention the expanded.txt {EMT_YOUR_FORCES_xxx} I don't recall adding these in previously, all my expanded entries were in one big block for listing the faction name and listing the faction building names on the map - so this sounds like it could be what I'm after.

    I'll take a looksey and see...
