    Default 10 unit limit?

Hi all. I was just wondering if there was any way to somehow limit the number of unit "slots" in any given army to 10 or so?? I know that this might sound strange as it might take away from the "epic" battle feel of the game. I honestly enjoy battle of 7-10 units much more than a full roster. Too much managing and I love to zoom in for a bit and watch from time to time. Perhaps this would also leave less room for the ai to do the laughable things that some of us are getting a little bit used to.

This is NOT a "this ai sucks", just something that i think would help me enjoy the game a little bit more.

i agree with you, sometimes its difficult to zoom and look to the new fighting animation because of the micro management.

So 10 units could provide more fun than full stacks sometimes (but with more than 350 men per unit )

Glad to hear that you agree with me. My absolute favorite battles in this game so far are the ones that i have either lost or had small engagements with the enemy. I hope that this is a possibility.

Yeah, and for older PC a way to play the game without lacks and with larger units.

    Give this one a bump

I have to agree I would like this as well for the naval battles, I like the ground battles just fine though. but what could change one could change them both so... I'll poke around in the files a bit but I'm no Lt. Chambers. or DeadlyBlowfish

Sorry i kind of edited that post incorrectly.... i found out that pirates don't have a cap on the amount of ships in a fleet... i don't know what that person was talking about.

Sorry for getting your hopes up. =(

if you can somehow figure out how to manipulate the min/max amount of units allowed in a battle you could potentially made a "EPIC" mod that allows for say 60 units to be deployed at once, hope this is possible (doubt it though, hasn't been possible since shogun, id be happier if someone fixed the bloody AI reinforcements)

We need slow motion with sound....OR the pace of the battles to be more "realistic".

I fight all my battles in slow mo now!

Sorry in advance if it bothers anyone that I am bumping this, but again this is something that I would like to know if anyone has looked at. My reasoning is for naval battles, despite the Ground combat playing great on my system (it seema I can have as many units as I want there), but If I get to many ships in combat its a lag fest.

This would indeed be very nice, small battles tend to be more pleasing to the eye, I hope someone figures this one out.

I would look into the differences between the grand campaign and the RTI campaign.

since i used the mod for the late GC, i am only able to have 6 ships to a fleet... army numbers haven't been changed.... i don't think i changed anything in the packs... and i'm not sure why i can only have about 6 ships in my fleet as opposed to about 12 normally.

    Anyone else have this?

What setting are you using as far as unit size? Using ultra allows 20 unit cards on sea battles large 15 etc... and it just changes the amount of men per card on land battles.
