New here need help getting started

This mod is the best!!! Makes the game way better!

I just purchased MTW gold edition and I have downloaded and installed SS 6.0 part 1 and 2, and patch 6.1. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what mod packs to install and which they feel are they best? I am not real sure of the order your supposed to put some of these mods in? I really want the huger battles mod but, It got confusing trying to figure out what to do with all those zip files? I know this is a stupid question, but I could not figure out how to overwrite EDU files with huge battles mod? Is the 6.2 update compatible with huger battles? Any suggestions or answers would be helpful.

unless you running some gtx 285 quads.. , those huge huge whatnot mods just damages your game..

first would be fps slowdowns.. i run good rig, playing on default huge armies.. and all maximum settings.. and when going 2 armies with full stacks.. it gets to 15-20 fps at a times.. which by my standards isnt acceptable, second with huge units ( default in game ) half town walls gets bugged already as they dont fit there.. so defending/attacking gets pain in the ass at a times
