Never done this but i think you need to conquer most of their settlements, outnumber their armies 5:1 and lay siege on their last settlement for a few turns. Then lift the siege and set up the proper diplomatic settings. I think it needs to be favourable for the AI. Demand vassalage for gold and land. Ofcourse they will backstab you sooner or later.

I can assure you that this ain't true I've never got backtabbed by my vassals as I take care of them, my global Rep is always good like I said before this is not RTW which protectorats were useless

I dont think thats right; i made France my vassal although they have some more provinces and armies...

I have tried everything and I cant get one country to be my vassel. I ofer them alot of money with 3 full stacks in their lands yet they dont budge.

What is your global Reputation, if it's mixed or less you won't be able to make them as vassals. Global Reputation plays a big role in diplomacy, so behaving in a good way like.... Look at the reputation guide in the Great Thread that I have made it will help you understand how Rep and diplomacy works together.

No it wasn't diplomacy and the AI in RTW was worthless. To have a nice diplomacy game check my Reputation guide

I don't know the best way to get them to become vassals, but I think I know how to keep them from backstabbing you. In a recent Russian campaign I was attacked on all fronts and crushed, and Hungary, the Mongols and the HRE all offered me vassalage. I had terrible global rep, but my relations with the HRE was very good, so they never betrayed me for 200 years while the treacherous mongols and hungarians attacked every 5 turns and then repeated their offer. Of course in this case I was the vassal, but maybe it works the other way too.

No I'm no developer I'm just a guy who played around 200 full long campaigns and did alot of testing within them

Just wanted to pull this back upto say I finaly got a vassel the Moors. Thanks for all the help Rebel
