Which 2 factions for multiplayer campaign?
I have only played as France yet, so does anyone have a suggestion as to which 2 factions would be well-balanced to play against each other on a multiplayer campaign?
I'm assuming GB v. France would be reasonably well matched. (Is that true? I've also heard that GB is way overpowered). Any other possibilities?

GB isn't actually overpowered. The thing is, they have a lot more unique units, and all the other units in the game are reskins of their british counterparts.

Not sure why anyone says GB is overpowered. I've defeated them on several occasions already, sometimes with no problem at all. Infact last night I did a 2v2 I was France my partner was Austria vs GB and Spain. They even had the high ground but we still owned them.
It really just depends on what you like and the tactics you use.

Austria is pretty powerful if you know how to play with them. they got unit that fire twice as fast as line infantry and jaegers who can fire in stealth.

There's no such thing as destiny. There are only different choices. Some choices are easy, some aren't. Those are the really important ones, the ones that define us as people.

I don't see that GB is that overpowered. But we did conquer a third of the world...so maybe that is how it should be

Great Britain is not overpowered.
You want two good factions to play as? I highly recommend Prussia and Poland-Lithuania.

Glad you mentioned Poland-Lithuania. Good line infantry and winged hussars are awesome cavalry.

Prussia probably have some of the strongest Line Infantry in the game. I've switched to using them after my Austrian Line took a pounding from them in one battle. Excellent Jaegers as well, which is important for my tactics since I tend to use a lot of light infantry (normally 20-25% of my army composition.)

well for campain the best i think would be prussia and austria they are bouth superpowers and could combine to crush their opponents

Really, any national rivals for the MP campaign will be quite fun.
France/GB, Prussia/Austria, Spain/GB, Sweden/Russia, UP/Spain, etc. So long as you pick 2 factions which have competing interests, things will be interesting. Playing a Prussia/GB game or something would quickly get boring, as one is a continental power, and the other is a colonial power. The only one I can see having a fun game no matter who is chosen is france, as they are both a continental and colonial power... and can choose to focus either way.

GB isnt overpowerd, their line infantery is only a bit stronger than others and they got 2 more guard units which are both weaker than the regular guards which have all nations.

Coldstream guards win Guards in a shoot-out, though..

Not really, i often tried GB online and i fougth against them more often, Coldstream have a few better precision yes but they arent much stronger in a shooting duell. Your not the first one who thougth that Coldstreams are better in shooting duell, simply try it. Take a friend and then try with him 1 Coldsream Unit against 1 Guard unit, then you will see what happens, they are kinda same strong.

You "often tried GB online" but me and a friend ran a lot of tests with CG vs Guards, Line inf, Guards in melee etc..
Result: GC left with 60 men (120 full strength) and Guards rout with 20

Guys! You are talking about multiplayer CAMPAIGN!!! Of course Great Britian is overpowered! They starts with the best locations the most resourses and army! What are you thinking?! Multiplayer BATTLES? Gee...
