So, I've been going through and been watching the old Friday the 13th films lately. I had never seen any past Part III so I figured since I'm on Spring Break and was bored that I might as well.
I'm a horror/slasher film buff so I've seen most of the big names (old and new). I'm just wondering what others like myself would say about who holds the title of best slasher villain.
Vote and please give a reason why...
Your Options are as follows:
1. Jason Voorhees: Famous hockey mask sporting, machete wielding killer from the Friday the 13th series...gives a whole new meaning to "retard strength".
2. Freddy Krueger: Sadist, pedophile, child molester, and serial killer - Krueger is a twisted character to begin with. Give him the power to be undead and stalk/kill his victims in their dreams...and you got one nasty fedora wearing, metal-clawed burn victim.
3. Ghost Face: Aka the Woodsboro Killer from the Scream series, it may be unfair to match this ever identity changing villain with the other boys here but honestly this character became as much a staple in the '90s as Jason or Krueger did in the '80s.
4. Mike Myers: Much like Jason, Mike has a similar M.O. - only...in some ways Myers seems 1,000x more evil and sadistic.
5. Jigsaw: The new villain of the 21st century! Technically, he gives people a choice whether to live or die and doesn't cause harm himself. However, we've all fallen in love with his sick and sadistic traps that only seem to get more intense, more bloody, and more complex with each film.
6. Leatherface: If there's any reason to NOT go wandering out in the sticks of Texas this boy and his entire family of ultra-satanist cannibals is exactly that.
7. Chucky: Ever think Cabbage Patch dolls were creepy? Well, so did the guy who came up with Child's Play and the film finally gave you a good reason to be. What's worse than a 2 foot tall toy doll possessed by a serial killer? One that can't exactly die either...
Anyways...make your choice...I have yet to make mine...too tired...I'll pick tomorrow some time.
