You guessed it, unspecified error

Hey TW Community, i bought this game 6 days ago, and since then i've been getting the unspecified error everytime i entered a battle or so. Patched it to 1.2 didn't work, updated my drivers, the game, formated the computer, cleaning the regedit, Still i got unspecified errors. Even tried the unpacker and deleting the two files, nothing has worked, i've been able to play about 5 - 7 mins max in a battle. I can't install patch 1.3 since it stops with data_0.pack. I'm desperate for any tips to get this thing working.
when i've been able to get into a battle it runs really smooth. So i figure it's not a graphic problem.

I can't install patch 1.3 since it stops with data_0.pack. I'm desperate for any tips to get this thing working.

it takes like 1 hour do update, and it will seem to be stuck while updating the x.pack files

I noticed in your dxdiag a combination of English and Danish drivers.

Are Medieval2 and the 1.3 update the same language?

Drive G: is USB according to your dxdiag. Are you trying to update to it or from it? The transfer rates on those things have been known to cause error messages.

Well that's the deal, it is in the pack folder. All the packs are there, yesterday it said it was data_0.pack, but again, it was in the folder.

I have only found four reasons for it not to update. They being a bad download, languages not being the same, trying to match retail and download versions, the copy protection found something, running a torrent, warez or a nocd crack. I hope you're not guilty of the last three.

What other programs, especially games and cd/dvd burners do you have installed?

What units do you have on the battlefield? You do a search while ranting, you'll find many that will ctd.

Not to worry. I have the legit cd i bought in the store. Well can't be the download since i thought of that my self, tried to dl some patches from different websites and ended up in the same. And since i'm living in Denmark i'm always using Eu patch dl's.
And i don't use cd/dvd burners. (don't even have one in the machine)

Well it usually CTD when there's alot of units on the battlemap, app. +1500,

I would say that it's part machine, part game. Part machine as your video card isn't made for big battles at that resolution. Part game as many units even in 1.2 update are still bugged. Which one is causing the problem? My guess is both.
