Hopefully, the Beta 8 will be released soon. There have been numerous tweaks to the maps that have had a big improvement to the battlemaps, unfortunately, they have caused some problems to the strategy map (flattening it). It's still being 'adjusted' and it appears to be a bit fiddly.

I was lucky to see a pre-release version of the Beta 8 and it's a quantum leap over what was available before. It looks a more complete mod (most of the unit cards have been completed) than before as well. Some of the interfaces have been changed as well - so it's looking less like RS1.5.

While it is frustrating not having the Beta 8 to play with the devs are doing their best to release it. They are working some punishing hours.

So, if you've got a working beta 7 continue playing with that or if not go back to playing RS1.5c (hopefully, for a short while).

I am fairly sure that Beta 7 and 8 will not be save game compatible (but don't delete your saves just yet).
