Attension to both Obama hater and Obama workshippers. The POTUS can make everyone happy. By now, most people realized that he is not God but he is not anti-christ eithor. So if you get a better way to solve the ecomany, say it but don't diss the guy; if you have peaceful solution to ME, post it. But realize that he is just a man which in the most powerful position in the world. Not God. Not someone who is bent on destroying the world. Remrber that he can't make everyone happy.

We still have no clue whether it's worked because it's been about a week since he did it. Time will tell, jumping to conclusions wont.

The fact Obama officals have admitted they cant say the stimulus package will save or create one job is pretty telling. You are right we will see but I dont think early indication of Obama's great plan are too reassuring. The fact no one in congress even read the enitire thing before passing it because it was railroaded thru is also amusing, the fact we were lied to that the plan would be published on the web before the vote is as well.

Just because what he's doing is different doesn't mean that it is potentially dangerous. And at least we know that he isn't handing out money without any regulation like Bush did.

The congress voted on the bill and got it passed, so if you want to oppose the bill, blame your congressmen, send him/her a letter of your disappointment and vote more sensibly next time of whom you want to represent you. Spread the blame around a bit more.

$$$$ didn't go up in flames under bush, it was sent (quite a big portion) of the $$$ was sent to fighting Iraq & Afgan wars... I wouldn't call that "wasting money", even if you disagree w/ the war..

Hmm, isn't there basically two ways to get yourself out of dept. You can either cut your spending so you get a budget surpluss and pay back your dept, or you can invest to increase your income an thereby get a budget surpluss.

I'm hardly an economist, but didn't America get out of the last depression because of massive goverment spending in military industry during WW2 (New Deal x 1000), followed by the fact that you basically where the only country with a real industry after the rest of the world committed suicide... meaning all the worlds markets belonged to you. Mayby you could invent something cool like a new energy form to replase oil, so when peak oil hits, America has production monopoly on this cool new energy form and the economy grows again due to the rest of the world having to by from America!! I mean common, didnt Obama say he was gonna get a cure for canser

How about we just go with your first suggestion, cut spending, and pay off the debt... because you know. That will definitely work. What Obama's doing, according to Biden has a 70% chance. 100>70...

Then again I'd say its more of a 5% chance, but that's just me.

Also solar cells and wind turbines are made oversees, that won't be an American monopoly. It will go to Europe, Korea, and china.
