    Default missing units

    well one of their first units they advertised was scottish clansmen..... welll were are they there not even in custome battles
    and i dont mean the scots with muskets but the ones with a sowrd and buckler ???
    where are they

    They are part of an "Emergent Faction" i.e. Scotland has to rebel against English rule for them to turn up.

    hmm thats a bit pointless then. advertising them on their site yet we cant use them ?? shame really they had said they would do so much stuff but it didnt materialise it seems still a good game hopefully they will remedy these problems

    Thanks for reminding me, I need to send an army to the Americas so I can fight pirates. I read they are actual pirate units, something I have to see.

    And the freaky Indian elephants almost made my swedish lads crap themselves, then they got funneled through the fort breach and shot to pieces by over 600 line infantry. Lucky break.

    Dont think they said you could play them, it was just a unit description on the site....and ofc you cant use em in a custom battle, why would GB use em?

    Can use them in the scenario battle as the British, or at least you could in the demo (haven't done it since) - I guess that raised hopes for some.

    hmm yer but it still would have bin kl having a line of line inf then as the panzy french try to charge me with their collumn formation BAM out comes the howling scotts charging through the lines that would be awesome

    Could it be possible, would it be simple, in a mod, to import clansmen into another faction once they acquire Scottish territories?

    Can another faction besides British recruit the black watch if they have scotland ?

    I was getting ready to launch an Austrian faction expedition to reclaim scotland from the protestant heresy. ( really so I could get kilted highlanders into the Austrian Army. )

    You're thinking of the Black Watch guys in kilts, he's refering to the Highlander swordsmen.

    As France, now that I have Austria I can hire Austrian irregulars. (I cant remember their name though!)

    There are other units that you cant recruit :
    18 pounders guard horse canons for france (only available in skirmish)
    Mamelukes (my biggest dissapointment, would have been my cavalry of choice with France)
    Highlanders (like in the demo, there is a unit of highlander, not black watch or royal scotsman).
    Grenzers (can only be recruited in hungary in a high level barracks that you cant build there).
    I'm pretty sure alot of you have noticed a lot of other units.

    Ah yes there's one missing : ELEPHANT CANNONS !!!
