    Default Losing millitary points

Im playing as The eastern roman empire and the year is 1258. I'm trying to get enough MP(millitary points) to get to the next level of barracks, wich i think could be the last level. I'm not shure how many points i need but i know it's have to be over 60 of ém atleast. The problem is that i keep losing MP without no apparant reason. I'm not losing any battles, i don't barch in to other peoples territory wich would give a minus or anyting like that. Everyting is going really well, exept those ******* MP.

Could someone please help me figuring out whats wrong?

Besides that, DLV is an outstanding mod!

    Cheers

Fortresses and citadels make you lose mil points, get rid of them until you can support them with a ranked general.

I don't know mate, doesn't it say on the pop up?

edit: no it doesn't. Maybe it's -1 for fortress and -2 for citadel ... maybe Repman can tell us.

Taiji is right about -1 -2
    @OP
    Banneret: +1
    Commander: +2
    Grand Cross: 3+

I am playing the exact same as you. Byzantine, Historical campaign, total war. Since you got all those citis, you should afford to invest in a few generals. You can see more about this in the strategy guide for new players --> 3.6 Part 3: Government and Military Points.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

If you don't have a general with rank you will lose points, where the general is doesn't matter.

Help please.... I don't play since I have this problem.
For information I have one city with large wall (soon huge) and one fortress.
May be a special trait from a general?

I never understood when we did a transgression.... What is it exactly?

I FOUND WHY! My crusader has the trait "troops undisciplined" after "desperate", both -1 I believe. Since I came back home, no -1 mil point. The banneret general MUST be inside the castles to avoid the mil penality of the fortress! I test it.
Useful for the DLV guide if my theory is correct.

But now, my gov doesn't grow.... Hahahah I have +31000 and a large wall.
