Need Help With Install
I recently had my computer reformatted and I'm trying to install EB again, but when I click single or multiplayer it says "Cannot find disk. Please insert the correct CD and try again."
Thing is, I already have RTW disk 1 in the computer already. I don't know why its not working. I have also moved my RTW and EB install files out of program files, and onto my Local Disk C: I have windows Vista and I am administrator.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Need Help With Install
Does vanilla RTW give you the same message? You discs may be damaged.
Did you just cut and paste the folder out of "Program Files"? That may cause problems. You may need to manually install everything again.

Re: Need Help With Install
It gives me the same message for RTW vanilla. However I tried installing RTW on my old XP computer and it worked fine. So I think the problem is vista somehow.

EB won't work
OK so when I try to play RTW vanilla it will say "cannot find disk, please insert disk 1." obviosuly i cant play EB since RTW wont work. I tried RTW on my old XP computer and it worked just fine.
So its vista thats causing the problem, because my new computer has vista. I can't download the windows media format 9 because Vista says I can't download it because I have media format 11.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Re: EB won't work
It still sounds like your RTW disk is damaged.
I've never heard of Vista making a disk not readable. Maybe it is your hardware. Try downloading and installing hardware drivers, such as the drivers for you CD/DVD player.

Re: Need Help With Install
Of course it isn't vista, that causes problem. I have vista, and I play my EB as I was playing it on xp. Maybe your CD is damaged, as Marcus said. You should have made image of your original CD. I did, so I'm just using mounted image, for it is annoying to insert/eject CD every time I want to play, and I'm sure, that I won't scrach my original CD.

Re: Need Help With Install
ok so apparently that didnt do any good. However I just bought ChessMaster 10th Edition, which also DOES NOT work on my computer, but it works on my old xp computer, just like RTW. So apperently it is my computer. I have tried all the compatability options, and I am administrator. Anyone have any ideas?
