CTD Battle start, not unpacked files
Ok, I have read and searched these forums for an answer, not just being lazy and asking.
Every battle, be it campaign, seige, quick battle, custom battle what have you, crashes with unspecified error. I have completelely removed total war II and reinstalled. Removed any mods, computer is well beyond recommended settings. The kingdoms campaigns work fine, battles all go smoothly on high graphics settings. I can't figure this out, and I am new to tech support forums, usually can fix problems on my own or find a ready made solution. Don't know what information you need to help, but using Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX, Intel Core2 processor, 32 Bit vista home premium, 4? i think, maybe 2 gigs of ram. Updated my drivers for just about everything on the computer. If you need anything else just let me know and I'll do my best to find it. (Added the log thing from the sticky but couldn't figure out where it put the log.)
I can't figure out why medieval 2 battles crash and kingdoms battles don't.
"Edit: Nevermind, forgot a few months ago I unpacked the files to try my hand at modding. Turns out vista threw them in the virtual store and didn't erase any of them when I uninstalled. Deleted all those manually and reinstalled, working now."
