UNPACK the files here

Gimme like 5 minutes to prepared. i will uploaded the files you need to unpack the PACK files. if anyone could tell me which files need to be unpacked it would be awesome.
so i can edited the unpack file to unpack those designated pack file...

File on rar files are ; can be download in here

+ Python Shell program (no skill required just install these things to your PC )
+ emp_unpacker ( you need this to change the lines ) copy this into your data folder. (back up your data folder 1st )
+ unpacker.bat ( batch files. no skills required,.. just leave it alone ) copy this into your data folder (back up your data folder 1st )

HOWTO UNPACK :

1. did you already install the python yet ? if you dont.. go for it.. after that reboot your PC.
2. did you have space on your HDD ??? (j/k)
3.did you already copy the emp_unpack & unback.bat into your DATA folder yet ?
4. now lets edit the emp_unpack files.
5. right click the emp_unpack files in your DATA folder with your mouse offcourse and select OPEN WITH IDLE option. Now you can see the python program just been started. there is 2 new notepad (kinda) will be launched. just ignored the python shell program look into your emp_unpack file. and goto this line.

pack = packFile('demo1.pack','unpacked')

FYI .

still, i dont know which files who need to unpack. You need to changed to your self. Im just a noob. making this things easier for you.

Just changed the green line demo1.pack to desired files you need to unpack... save it when you done.

now run the unpack.bat
it will unpacked for ya.

thats it.. easy right ?

Final. ( if you excuse my english here.. kinda blunder isnt ? )

im doing this after doing alot of research on this forum. broken pieces information whos not being completed. So i just completed the info in here.. Some might think.. this files info were origin belong to their threath.. so be it.. @ least i tell the noobies how to extract the files in orderly fashion. So everyone can have a chance to start modified their games.

remember all will be unpacked inside the UNPACK folder.

LUA files just can be opened trough NOTEPAD... no fancy programs needed.

Well i think its not necessary to unpack everything, just files where yo ucan edit buildings, units, nations, turns, movement rate. In Rome or Medieval those things were mostly in like 2 - 3 files.

And when you unpacked those files is here some manual how to modify game and make those files working ?? I mean how you replace original big file with those unpacked ?? And if you change something game works fine or it crashing like hell ?

Concerning the "emp_unpacker.py" , is the one of your link the one that was used for the demo ?

Because it must not be complete.

Indeed, it works with some of the packed files, BUT not all especially with the "models.pack".

You can unpack "models.pack" then copy your files from unpacked to your data. Then rename models.pack to "I_love_myself".

But then, the game crashes when starting land battle.


Everything had worked fine with the demo. But it seems it doesnt work anymore.

What's more ? "voices.pack" cant be unpacked with "emp_unpacker.py -u all.bat" for some reason...
