Empire Total War Campaign Flickering?!

I also have a flickering screen. The game is completely unplayable without getting a seizure. I haven't even been able to play the game it is so bad. All my CCC settings are at default. I have switched screen resolutions to no avail. I put all the game settings as low as they will go, even though my graphics card should be able to handle ultra, and it still flickers. I installed all the latest updates and still the flickering. CA should be ashamed of themselves for releasing such garbage! Never again will I waste my money buying their games. $50 down the drain. Or rather, in the pockets of morons who can't seem to release a game that actually works as advertised. CA=garbage!

Edit: Also, it is not an overheating problem as the highest the temperature goes at full load is 65c. It tends to stay around 55-60c when playing a game.

Chaser in CCC under go under Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic filtering respectively. Is the box ticked next to 'use application setting' if not then tick it and give this a go and see what happens

I have solved my flickering: The graphic card was defect. I've got another one (exactly the same card) and the flickering isn't there anymore.
