Seems a bit complicateed for me but this looks like a good way of using the arty for close support of the infantry assault without too much ff
Question: the artillery in the second diagram have grey dots around them, Im assuming crew. Then they have a block of orange dots to the side. Is that protective musketeers? Fieldworks?
According to the article, they are there to move the guns.
