Default only one ETW Empire War Discussion Thread

so what should us total war fans get if we plan on installing mods? I heard steam is not good for mods, but i also heard it doesnt matter. Just wanted to get the final word from the people who play/develop my favorite mod.

Both are exactly the same when you install, So it doesn't matter.

I got the retail version... The sweet thing with the disks is you can install steam....remove it later... Install it again whatever...and the game installs from the disks in like 20 minutes..

The extra stuff in the box is worth the price... Maps, Charts, Manual ect... I've found it really helpful... Do retail if you can....Just about the same price and you get lots of free stuff!
