help pls

look i know and read the install instructions. but when i download the mod, it then installs it in my dos then the screen closes, but when i try to run it it gives me an error mess. sorry guys i know you hate stupid questions but im new to this, and i love lotr games. pls help

Welcome to the forums.

If the DOS window comes up and then closes after 1 second, you need to use the .rar version of the mod. You can find a link to that in the same thread where you found the link for the version you have now.
