had a similar one , and the 'accept or we will attack' 'please do not attack' is a common one too.

I've had similar ones in MTW2. Can't remember exactly I last played MTW2 over a year ago. It was something about me giving money to the Pope and watching my Papal standing rise to the top, with a tooltip in the lines of "Your piety pleases His Holiness"

I had the gauls declaring war on me each turn by blocking one of my ports and begging me for a ceasefire. Since I was still busy with Carthago I agreed to the ceasefire every turn but at the end I got tired and demanded Bononia. They gave it to me... and still blocked my port and again begged for a ceasefire. So I demanded the next city of cisalpine gaul. They gave it to me only to block my port and beg for a ceasefire again... and again until the whole of cisalpine gaul was Roman.

Aye and don't get me started on 'accept or we will attack' in exchange for 'please do not attack'. The sad thing is even if you agree most of the time they will attack you anyhow. The campaign AI of RTW really is a piece of work.

Talk about historical accuracy! (I joke because I'm Catholic.)

As I understand it, the problem is that the warmaking AI and diplomacy AI aren't particularly well-connected. It's pretty crazy.
