What will happen to Mods for M2? I doubt everybody here is getting Empire and I am wondering if Mods will continue?
Sorry if in the wrong forum, couldn't decide between here and the Empire forum.
Thanks.

I would say that mods for M2 will continue for a long time. Theres alot of medieval fanatics out there who would never give up the game that they play all the time for Empire. Besides, Rome still has people modding it so I would think it would be the same with the new release.

man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.
Yeah! Including me. Rome was awesome! For me Rome will be the real TW. Medieval 2 is also awesome. And the reason I am playing M2 and not Rome is graphics. And also the medieval period which is fascinating. Of corse as a fan of TW I will buy Empire, but I believe I wont play it as much as M2. (If at all.)
With all bugs, CTD, technical issuess, steam etc Empire has, dont worry about MedII :p
when medieval 2 was released, the rome modding community didn't all go and play it
why would it happen to med2 when empire comes out?
It's the sword vs the gun...
And something tells me Med II will still be the best TW overall (especially with SS mod). Destroying boats is fun, but I just think the medieval period is much more interesting.
This does not mean I won't give ETW a chance to persuade me...

Apparantly most European armies are copies of each other, just another colour. Although the guy spreading the idea had only played custom battles and looked through the units... I did the same with France once in SS 5.1 and I found like 14 units, but in the campaign I was amazed by the diversity (so take it with a pinch of salt)
Naval battles aren't that much fun, if you don't know the tactics your screwed anyway -_-.
But im getting the game in a few days... unless people start telling me that the game is loaded with bugz...
Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.
As of right now you have to use as least as possible tactics to win naval battles in ETW.
yeah, they will most definetely continue. as others have pointed out, it worked out that way for Rome when M2 came out. Too bad for me, my computer can't run E:TW![]()
People are still making modifications for Rome: Total War today, so my Lord sees no reason for modifications to stop for Medieval 2: Total War.

I'll still be sticking with M2TW and RTW. The one and only thing that I wanted from ETW was awesome multiplayer and from what I hear..not so much. I'm not a modder though, so I don't think I matter in this case.
I'm not sure my system specs will be able to support Empire, and I'm quite a fan of medieval hack'n'slash, plus I'm a modder myself. All in all, I'll be stuck with M2TW for a while yet.
