Norway help

I am having trouble in my Norway campaign.The Scottish have reconquered most of my gains from my king's army. I keep getting awesome generals, but they oftern die, since I have very few troops. One of my three main armies tried to hold a fort agianst William Wallace, and suceeded, killing William, but losing their general. The next turn they were besieged and crushed. The other army captured Inverness and that city Southeast of Inverness before they were forced to retreat to inverness. Outnumbered and outmatched, they almost took down an entire Scottish stack, but Inverness was lost, along with the other settlement. I lost the two cities in western Scotland recently, after a long time holding out. My main stack is currently sitting in the fort in my one territory in scotland, defending all attacks. I have a firm grip on all of the islands. I am allied with England and the Baron's Alliance and at war with Scotland. Ireland has conquered all of Ireland and Scotland has taken 2 cities to the South. The Welsh have conquered 7 cities from the English, including London. I have governors in all of my settlements, and 5 extra generals in my one castle in scotland, along with 6 Svenner. My one stack has 4 Huscarls with 3 bronze chevrons, 5 units of Viking Raiders, 3 units of Dismounted Huscarls, 2 units of crossbowmen, 2 norse archers, and a general. I am losing 2000 florins per turn and I am at -10000 florins, and my cities are underdeveloped because I have always been short on money.

What should I do?

move your capital north close to you provinces, that usually gets like 3000 florins, from their on use Navy to bring troops to raid settlements in south.

1. My capital is up North, as centralized as possible (maximum income) already.
2. I don't have an army to do that with. My most advanced castle is the one in Northern Scotland, and my only full stack is defending it.

When you play Norway you must pillage and plunder! Get some troops in a boat and sail towards the Scotttish large cities. Even if Scotland is attacking you in the north. Sack their cities and raise all buildings to the ground. Dont bother holding them, just move on to the next one. When you have gimped their largest cities, they get money problem and get on the defensive. Then you build your cities with the money you got from raiding, and get your economy going.

Then you are ready to create an all powerful Viking horde that can split any foe in half.

edit : You dont need to be allied with England or Wales, as Scotland is like a buffer between you. I often raid Wales for easy money, as well as the eastern coast of England. Just make sure you got some units in castletown, because the English will often try to take it. I often have a few boats in the area, and attack their troop transport ships so their units sink with them.

The problem is that I don't have any money to build an army. Also, even though I've slaughtered most of Scotland's forces, they still have several stacks roaming around Southern scotland. Everyone is too strong to raid, and I don't have the money to build an army.

Ok. Sounds like you got off to a bad start. Have you considered starting over again?

From turn one you should build farms and roads and ports to get some cash flowing. Your main forces should be focusing on pillaging and halting the Scottish push northwards. Norway is the most difficult faction to play, but as soon as you climb that first mountain it gets easier. Oh and no need to start recruiting troops right away, use the forces in castletown to head south to Wales and let them feel the fury of the norsemen.

Steps should be (imo)

Build farms/roads>get traderights>pillage wales/England.

Don't worry about that Welsh army near Castle Town. It's been there since turn 10 and it hasn't attacked me once.
Edward is back, William Wallace is dead, and King Haakon is come and gone, and my King's puse is back to normal.

edit : I'm sorry but I cant load the game. It might be because of language conflicts in the OS, or some other regional difference. When I load the game it kicks me back to the main menu.
