Making generals into family members
Hiya i'm playing broken crescent as the Ghazni faction, i've been trying hard to put Masud Ghaznavi into my family by a heroic victory or by marrying him into the family (can't happen apparently with muslim princesses).
He starts off as a general, but i'd rather him join the family, he's getting fairly old now and time is of the essence. I managed to get him into the royal family the first time but the second time playing the game I wasn't so successful since I was more diplomatic in my expansion and rarely was able to fight open plain battles and was more so taking cities, forts etc. Can't really get many heroic victories like that.
ANYWAYS, to the crunch of the problem, I was wondering being unsuccessful otherwise of trying to get him into the family if their is a cheat or a way of somehow putting him into the family by some other means? I've searched google and twcenter forums for a long while unable to find anything substantial to help me. So I decided to post instead
(sorry if this is in the wrong place)

Sorry there's no cheat for that, other than that, try to decrease his odds in battles even more and lower your family member/settlements ratio by capturing a lot of settlements or/and sending family members on suicide missions etc.

I think lowering the number of family members is the key. If you have too many compared to the number of territories you own, you will not get new family members through adoption.

Ah okay, thanks for the advice, I could try that atleast. Though hes nearing 50 doubt he can probably have kids but I name modded the game a bit and changed a family line in my family tree's name to match his so it looks like its his kids kind of :p
