Hey all,
i've noticed that many threads start off as one thing and end up on a side topic - sometimes sorta related and some time completely off topic

so this thread is where we should try and move these interesting but random discussions that don't deserve a thread of their own

so when you spot side discussions occuring post a copy of the last post here and then in the relevent thread one telling every one that the side topic is occuring here

have fun all and keep the fun coming

I believe you are right, as always ... unfortunately ... I have been testing and testing and testing ... sigh ..., and I can not manage to link the ancillaries to creation of legions

I managed to distribute the ancillaries from the start of the campaign. This seems to be the only way to control it.



I will use this in my game, distributing each ancillary at a time, when creating a new general.

Sulla what about linking it to a province?

problem with that is as LT said every character would then get the ancilary

I am not sure i should install a mod like crusaders tw or chivalery tw i think thy might have it. Not sure tough.

i've ignore sardinia and the mediteranian islands and gone straight to iberia - the islands seem impractical to defend and don't offer enough money or access to elsewhere to make it worth while

i want the city of Carthago to be the last place to fall though so they will get captured at some point

and as this is no longer about the first 15 turns how about moving to the side topic's thread

Well in order to get the reforms to happen you should take sardinia as well.

The reason why i took it was to protect my supply lines against attacks from those islands.

yeah i will be taking it i'm just hitting the manpower and money of iberia first

my plan at the moment is to sieze all of Iberia and make a defendable boarder with gaul then take the islands - finally crossing near gibraltar (known then as the straits of Hercule's i believe) and then move towards Carthago itself

On-off topic: The med. Islands could be useful as naval bases. Build up their shipyards and be able to crank out a police-style navy that can cover the western med. without much fear of losses.

yes i know and thats what i'm going to use them as when i begin my assult on africa, but for now i prefer the money of iberia

There are many ways to play this mod so you will be fine, this reminds me i still need to take one small island. Palma gone be a tough fight as thy have like 2 or 3 armies with only missile units in them.

i was reacently broawsing the forum and found social groups and was just wondering what they were

of course i immediately looked for a SPQR one but didn't see one and was wondering what people thought about starting one

It depends. Join some of the groups ore sniff around maybe you will find some interesting groups maybe not.

i've just made a start to the new campaign - with the ancillary add-on - and i have completed my battle against Hannibal, it went much better than last time, which is actually quite relieving because it shows how much better i've got

only problem is that the first turn requires so much agressive moving that none of my generals have had the chance to gain the ancillaries yet

Put a general in the nearest city and wait a turn move him to the legions just combined the generals and give him the ancillary. Or just wait until you destroyed Hannibal and Theo. Maybe you could mod in the ancillary your self.
