Hey, nice vid! Might help more people get to know DLV Should've stuck with showing the map and strategy, framerate was really bad on on the battle part unfortunately.

And lovely music... whats that choral music on the campaign map part? Is it from the game??

The Danes, I swear, with their half arsed attempts at a 'war'. You gotta give it to 'em, they just dont stop trying. Listen, I've fought the Timurids, ever heard of them? Elephants with cannons on their backs. Yea, Timurids. You guys are like kids on tricycles compared to them. -REZ

Yes framerate sucks because I made it with lots of programs open
And on the campaign map I forgot to unclick on mine castle

No, that's "Alfonso El Sabio-Cantiga de santa maria 422."

I would like add in the game lots of medieval street music, Gregorian song and Celtics. But copyright. BUT I think that's no problem because the goal isn't commercial and that 80% of record. I found them on a free download site.

The music itself is free of copyright since its so old I guess, but not the performances...

Mate, if you can get a collection of free medieval music you could make a music mod for DLV, not really sure how you change the music but that would definitely be appreciated.

Thanks for the tip on the Cantigas btw, they are great - that CSM stuff is perfect for the game!

Don't worry about Copy right, even if it's music. I have never heard about any copy right issues in this forum. So you use Fraps and Windows media player?
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

For the copyright I was speaking about integrated in the game
Yes I play with media player and my personal list of really really appropriate songs

@Taiji: "Turn off the green selection circles"
Where is it in the pref?
I know that the battle map part is a little bad with angle, that's hard^^ I've tried to have similitude with changing angle and music but..... For the next version^^
Like you can see in my favorites I made lots of real mini movies on dailymotion where the angle rocks with music^^

Nice music. Nice that you showed starting a camaign. It's a good idea to give a sense of the scale of the map but since which area of the map is being show is not visible on the mini map you might be better of just moving slowly from one side of the map to the other. To show each country it might be nice to start zoomed in on their capital then pan out and show the rest. It would be nice to include little clips of all the cool new information screens (UMS, etc.).

The battlefield stuff needs a lot of work to make it look good. The way the camera moves so fast combined with the compression of the video causes the appearance of extremely bad frames per second. Static shots will look much better or else reduce the camera's move speed. Turn off the green selection circles or just make sure the selected unit is out of shot. It might be best to use a replay to work from (Though maybe not since last time I tried to do a replay everything went crazy, the AI changed it's approach which meant all my recorded commands just sent my soldiers off doing crazy things.).

In general with the battlefield stuff I would say it's going to be a lot harder because you are essentially trying to shoot a movie. You need to be able to rewind the scene and shoot again since you only have one camera or you will not be able to cut to a different angle. Cutting to different angles at the right time is really important when trying to hide how crap m2tw is (or 'show it in a better light' if you prefer advertising speak ). It's also important to cut in some kind of rythm with the music, if you fire sound and visuals at the same moment the person will be much more interested than if only one sense organ is engaged. So let the music kind of determine where you cut to the next shot. Hmm maybe I am going a bit over the top here... :

Really nice to be in the credits, made me feel famous, thanks buddy
