So which faction do you hate the most? which faction do you love destroying?

Personally I hate Milan. They are annoyingly powerful at the start and seem to destroy france and some of the HRE before waltzing around with stacks early in the game.

contrare my friend I like to play as Milan or Hungary and you cannot build a decent game without the holy roman empire atacking your settlements my strategy is destroy the hre with extreme prejudice! any faction bordering them needs to eliminate the kaiser immediately!!!!

Yes the Kaiser is actually a really good target. In my French campaign on SS 4.1 I have allied with Poland, Hungary, Denmark and Milan against the HRE early expansionism. It was really tough as the HRE had more troops than all of us but I managed to conquer Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland from them. Poland claimed most of the Czech lands and Hungary split Austria with Milan. Denmark claimed Hamburg, so the HRE was only left with Nuremburg and Frankfurt, which became a small French protectorate. Kind of reminds me of a world war. Obviously it all started with the HRE attacking my ally Poland lol.

Actually, there is something you can do to stop rebels from spawning. Makes the AI go absolutely nuts and attack you with huge-ass armies apparently.

cool haha, well considering that you can turn them off i would now say the papacy, for obvious reasons

No offense to any Italians here but my most-hated faction would be one of the three Italian states (Milan, Venice or Sicily).

Reasons:

1) Mass armored-archers with shields
2) Infinity money
3) Endless stacks of archers
4) More endless stacks of archers

lol. They bring enough of them indeed, but I have no difficulty defeating them.

Still, I'd say Milan is the most annoying faction you could possibly neighbour with. You always end up fighting them because they attack your cities.

Well, since many people hate Milan so much, I thought that I would cheer them up by telling them that in my present Retrofit Portugal campaign (with pikemen's secondary weapon removed) I took all 7 of Milan's cities in two turns after calling a crusade on them. Five of their cities fell to crusading armies. The AI is really nuts; the Duke of Milan and the Pope were both in their 30's IIRC when Milan got itself excommunicated for attacking the Germans. Milan had recruited a surprising number of mailed knights from Metz. Knights in castles are easy pickens for Aventuros, especially when spies open the gates. I did use a few of my nasty Jintes. (I have several of them with 3 golden chevrons and they are eager to go skewer the Khan's flunky.) It is about turn 74 and I have used spies exclusively to gain entrance to cities and castles/fortresses.

I would have to say France. Every time I become allies with them they always unleash a attack sooner or later (20-30 turns) Basically...This could be random...But I like to keep a civil mind and assume France is nothing but a backstabbing piece of trash (In the game)

I love croissonts and French women so in no way am I trying to offend French people.

Portugal is also very annoying. I play Spain most of the time because I love taking the whole island for myself. But Portugal makes it kind of hard with Jinetes x5 per army. If I do not have good archers or Jinetes for myself I might as well disband my entire army off a cliff.
