I am contemplating makeing an XGM AAR ( To Vote which faction go here
I Just wanted to know how you prefer AAR's written...
Very Descriptive
Follows one Character
First-Person
Third-Person
Picture-based
Text-based
Follows the faction more than the Characters
Lots of Battles! Drama!
Lots of Campaign Stuff, (i.e. building, diplomacy)
Create a personal story behind the characters, (Backround Drama)

Passing on to describe the way in which Napoleon employed ‘principles’ or ‘ingredients’ for the prosecution of War, it must from the outset be understood that his strategical and tactical systems followed no closely ruled pattern. Every operation was unique; no two were ever quite the same. However, the underlying every Campaign and battle were certain fundamental, which were applied according to circumstances.
‘Strategy is the art of making use of Time and Space,’ wrote the Emperor”

I prefer to see the wrighters do what ever they feel like. It's all just for fun and entertainment. And the wrighter's first priority should be to have fun while making it. And take lots of screens. If you have fun, others will too.
personally I like AARs in First Person point of view. Its really dramatic how you see the wars and battles thru the eyes of a soldier or a general and did I mention that it makes the story more interesting just like how the creators of Call Of Duty did in their games
Good luck with your AAR, but just do what YOU want so it is interesting to you and you continue it for while. It really doesn't matter what faction or style as long as you are dedicated.
i prefer a more third person narrative with no dialogue
