Maybe he just had a really strong, pious, loyal, chilvarious and influential father who passed his stats down

No cheating there, hard/hard. Denmark is a nice faction to start with and the guy just didn't acquire too many of those nasty traits. Build LOTS of churches and train priests and hope for the best in battles (i.e. trying very hard to not get battledread)

GODDAMN IT he is 39 years old and he came of age at 16. that means a damn 46 turns since he came of age- if you cant make a general fullstats in that time then atleast dont come here saying that those who can are cheaters
also a tip for the op: i see you have 2 merc crossbows that are nearly full men in retraining queue. you could merge them and then you must only retrain one of them. same for spearmen

He has royal ties to a foreign princess (some ugly French princess) so that gave him a few extra points of loyalty. That and feeling really appreciated with all the good odds battle I put him through.

What he was saying is that you could merge your two damaged units into a full 60 unit and another 20 unit and retrain the latter saving yourself one spot in the recruitment panel. The same can be done for spearmen. Right now you were retraining fewer units than you could have in that castle.

in vannila 1 turn ages characters by 0.5 years so he neds 2 turns for 1 year so yeah thats 23 x 2 = 46

OP, good job! My generals never seem to survive long enough to get even half-full stats, or else sit around cities doing nothing
