    Default blood mod?

    I remember a very long time ago, somebody made a blood mod. I can't remember how it worked though. I was released shortly after RTW was made. Dose anyone know about this?

    Apparently it was abandoned due to technical difficulties... So its a no go. I heard about it a ways back but never looked into it... Would've been cool.

    If our guys can glow when they gain experience, why can't we soak them in blood? Our modders have come a long way since then. I'm sure we can pull this off some how. I'd be happy to replace froofy sparkles for blood and gore.

    can unit sprites of dead soldiers get a change of sprite so they are covered with blood at least?

    Sure, but all their sprites will be covered in blood then.

    Not to mention the fact that you would need to create new, temporary skins for every unit you want blood for.

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    Well then that would make it impossible then.

    Other point, that would not be difficult. If they could be seperate from their alive counterparts, then you'd just have to run a red paint sprayer over the ones that are already in teh game and voila.

    Yeah, unfortunately there is just the one sprite.

    And I wasn't saying it would be hard to make new skins, just time-consuming.

    It would be much more reasonable to have various permutations of overlay texture layers that get blended in over the main texture. Unfortunately RTW does not support such a feature and thus it is impossible.

    It would require a quite experienced reverse-engineering programmer to build new priority modules that add new features to RTW. Unfortunately I don't have much experience in that field.
