If you are even remotely familiar with the political apparatus and situation of the RSA then you should know that South Africa is notoriously politically corrupt, it seems every party that comes to power saying it will rid the country of corruption*well to be honest its not separate parties just different sects of a corrupt one*.

So Zuma, Turats, and numerous other ANC members have proven themselves to be corrupt members, and I honestly think in this time of economic crisis we shouldn't repeat the 90s, I am not saying lets have a Stalin-esque purge but we need to do something otherwise we will go the way of many other once-promising African Regimes.

The ANC became a front for the SACP back in the 1980s. It's nothing more than a terrorist organization (the party had its own military wing too) that came to power to the fanfare of Westerners who thought it had something to do with making things better.

SACP has long been dead, it held sway in the.... 50s when it got money from the USSR, the ANC was founded on principles of "African Socialism" , and no not like Tanzania, think an Africanized Welfare State, which is corrupt and fails and contradicts itself. South Africa is alot of things, but it is far from communism, if it were to sway in any direction towards totalitarianism you would more likely end up with a right wing Oligarchy.

Communism was popular because it was the opposite of the Apartheid Regieme that took land and forced them into cages like cattle. Then we looked at Zimbabwe and no South Africa wants that.

South Africa indeed is highly corrupt, they also still support Mugabe's terror regime in Zimbabwe. I would call the black economic empowerment very much racist, but since the blacks benefit and whites are discriminated nobody in the West dares to say so, because of pc.
Just imagine a European or North American country would have a similiar law and how fast it would be condemned and bedeviled from all sides.

I think they only tentatively support Zimbabwe, in the same way China supports North Korea; they have little choice, if Zimbabwe fails or becomes instable SA will be flooded with refugees bringing untold numbers of problems.
