I am playing as the Julii in the imperial campaign, I took the south tip of greece from the Scipii, who had gained popular support some time back and declared war on me. Right before that, the senate had simultaniously outlawed all of us, so I went ahead and took Rome. (I had a full banner of paetorians waiting for some time now) but now, after the Scippi have been chased out of Italy and greece by me (They still control Egypt and Anatolia), the Brutii had turned on my alliance with them and seiged my city. So I attacked them. Then, the dreaded "You don't have popular support" menu popped up. for a while, I thought about it...so i checked the senate tab, and lo and behold, it was grayed out, just as it should be, because the senate has been dead for a while. So. WTF...the Brutii have seiged yet ANOTHER city in greece, and I can't even sally out to attack them. Am i just to twiddle my thumbs while they rape my settlements? it seems impossible to break this alliance. Please, help. (right now, what i am trying to do is send out as many assassins against their leaders in an attempt to offend them. i don't have high hopes though)
