Noooo M@:TW wont work

As it says. I got my new computer decided to play this baby and when i installed it went to error. O.o i cried.

What are your computer specs even if it is new?
What version are we talking about?
Are you using vista as being a new one?
What other programs did you install before Medieval2?

2) the vanilla 2ndMedieval total war game. Keyboards goood but sometimes i press to quick.
3)YEs vista
4) I installed rome and well bestbuy did the rest

No idea what they put on there.

Did they install a game package for you when they did the work for you? If so which ones?

To be honest, you need to learn what you have on your computer. This game's copy protection causes enough problems without the unknown. Rome would not cause that error. Vista would not cause that error. With your computer being this new, it would be a bad install by you or a program that the copy protection is kicking out.

Hmmm found the stuff they put on, Tren MIcro internet security and Microsoft office home and student 2007. that's it.

That won't cause any errors. What does your system.log.txt say? Did you read the sticky thread at the top of this forum called "Total War adn Vista"? Sounds like you need to reinstall it but before you do read the sticky to get a feel of what you're up against.

Well the error says

Is it more of a problem is you type in random numbers and letters and it allows it to install?
I will check it out.

checked it ain't find anything.

Can you play anything else in your dvd reader? If yes, check your dvd for dirt, scratches, fingerprints, etc. Bet the problem is the disc.

figure that is the problem. Checked back of it scratched like crazy. Leave it with the brother for a few days and it gets all scratched up -_-
