    Default horde_max_percent_army_stack ?

What is this entry relating to the hordes from descr_sm_factions used for?

How full each of the stacks is? *shrugs*

You think? Given that the number of units and the number of stacks and so on have a minimum and a maximum it wouldn`t be of much use tbh.

Btw, I`m undering what the egine does with the existing family members when it hordes. Say the faction loses its last settlement, but has 3 surviving family members with armies and in descr_sm_factions its new horde is set up to have at least 4 named characters. It happened to my ostrogoths. Ermenaric, the faction leader survived and since Alatheus and Saphrax were at a distance they should have survived too, but I can`t find Saphrax anywhere (with a spy since I was playing with a different faction). It looks as if the engine replaced him with a different character when the horde formed.

Or you can use toggle_fow instead of a spy... To make sure.

EDIT: Doh, I meant perfect spy not fow...

Toggle fow only shows the map, not the detail of each army. And it also does not show the armies hidden in forests(in ambush position). So I needed a spy to check the exact details of the characters.

Why not add a small show_me script with only

    console_command toggle_perfect_spy

    on it?

Although I think that it does not work with ambushed armies either, at least it shows all visible armies when toggle_fow is active.

Just be careful: once I released a 77BC version with this command activated

Yeah, I'm always terrified I'm going to do that.

Maybe this line refers to the percentage of each new horde army made up of horde units instead of regular army ones.

no regular unit is spawned - that is a rule

your first answer is correct, this refers to % of the 20 unit slots per stack - testing the attributes always gives a great idea of what the effect is

I thought it ment the max percent on how much population you have to be taken to find a new home.

essentially by lowering the variable you are using less population to fill out your 20 unit stacks = less population taken with you.

Both are correct, but the first is a better way to explain.
